Ways You & Your family can volunteer & Donate!

As the holidays approach, here are some ways you and your family can help show Christ's love to our community

Cookie Drive

Missions Committee will be collecting Christmas cookies between now and Sunday, December 12!  Cookies can be one type or a variety, frozen (place in the church freezer at your convenience) or fresh (please bring the weekend of December 11-12).  Please package your cookies in disposable containers/ziplock bags.

The cookies will be re-packaged and then donated to Light of Life.  Please include a copy of any recipes.  Thank you!

Light of Life:

The Christmas season is a very busy time for the single mothers and their children in our women and children’s

program. The women are concentrating fulltime on getting their lives back to together by attending counseling sessions, educational classes and preparing for meaningful careers.  You can encourage these families to continue making positive changes by baking them Christmas cookies and sharing your joy in our Savior’s birth in a very real way. For folks who have spent past Christmas seasons homeless or in despair, your simple gesture of Christmas cheer will deeply touch their hearts and those of their children. You can encourage our clients and families this Christmas

donating 5 dozen cookies (any variety), delivered in a non-returnable plastic container, that we will be able to freeze.  Please include your recipes! They will help our women remember and repeat your gift.

Spread Joy in Warm Springs:

Holly & Evan with Sacred Road Ministries

As we look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we want to thank you for your prayers and involvement in our ministry to the people of Warm Springs. We also want to let you know how you can support our ministry in a few specific ways this season.

For Thanksgiving, we need to raise $5,000, as we will be distributing 250 food boxes to families in Warm Springs who are in need of a Thanksgiving meal. We will behanding out those food boxes alongside tribal employees we have worked with in the past, with the hopes of continuing to deepen relationships with them.

We are also looking to raise $750 for a Christmas party at the Boys and Girls Club in Warm Springs, where around 50 kids will receive Christmas gifts, have fun playing games and making crafts, and watch and participate in the true story of Jesus’ birth.

Additionally, we are looking forward to 2022 and increased ministry in Warm Springs as we expect to be living on location by this time next year. As we get closer to that point, there are one-time costs associated with starting full-time ministry and recurring costs once we are established on location. Any money that is raised beyond what we need for the holidays will help cover those costs.

As we share the message of joy and hope that Christ offers, we need your help to make these special events happen! Please prayerfully consider if you are able to make either a recurring or one-time donation that will allow us to continue to share the gospel, in word and in deed, to the community of Warm Springs in the upcoming year.

You can also mail a check designated for Warm Springs to the Donation Address provided.

May you be reminded of the goodness of God and the beauty of His free gift of salvation this Christmas season.

In Christ,

The Shaw Family

Volunteers are needed:

- at the store to sort items and put clothing on hangers, serve at the cash register, etc. Teens are welcome to serve here as well!

- in outreach (particularly the North Side),

- at the safe home (to drive women to appointments, to spend time with them at the home)

- to prepare meals. Frozen meals can be dropped off at the Repurposed store. They are reheated and served at one of the outreach centers or the safe home later. Recipe suggestions can be found at:
