Partnering with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Shepherd's Door will be handing out free, pre-packaged lunches to kids in need.  Volunteers are needed to help pass out these lunches from 11AM - 1PM at the Bayne Library Gazebo weekdays from June 12-Aug 18.  For more information, contact the Shepherd's Door at 412-761-4310.

Shepherd's Door will be participating in the Bellevue Yard Sale Day on Saturday, June 17th from 8AM-4PM.  Please stop by or donate!!

We are also starting to collect school supplies to give to kids in the Fall. A new friend at a church here in Oregon got us connected to someone who is donating a bunch of backpacks, so we're looking for folks to help fill up those backpacks. This is something that Sacred Road has done each year in White Swan and we're excited to do the same in Warm Springs! Save the date! Missionaries will be coming to visit on Wednesday, August 2nd.  More details to come!  

Our church will be hosting a booth at Marshall Township Community Day on Saturday, August 26th.  We could REALLY use your help!  We are looking for volunteers to either help setup the booth or to help lead a children's game or craft.  If you would be willing to donate some of your time that afternoon, either between 4-6 or 6-8 PM, please reach out to the missions committee at missions@covcommunity.org.

Every month, we will be collecting items for our women who we reach through our Joy's Space drop-in centers. For the month of May we will be collecting the following:

Women’s large purses/bags

Individual size food containers to go/ storage bags all sizes

Feminine Wipes /baby wipes

If you would like to donate items, please label items for Joy's Space and drop off at our Repurposed store at 7805 McKnight Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Living in Liberty operates a thrift store in the Pittsburgh area. Our store, Repurposed for the Thrifty Shopper in You, is located on McKnight Rd. and boasts two stories of gently used housewares, furniture, books, clothing, and more.

Our repurposed store provide critical, financial support to sustain the rest of our work as an organization. 

Repurposed volunteers spend time at the stores helping to sort & price donations, maintaining orderly displays and racks, cleaning, providing handyman assistance where necessary, and assisting or waiting on customers. Other volunteers may help to coordinate or participate in our monthly furniture donation pick-up runs. Some volunteers may also assist in collecting necessary donations for weekly distribution by our street outreach teams.

Volunteering at the store may be a weekly or monthly commitment, or may be a one-time group volunteer opportunity.

Women's Choice Network cares for women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. And you probably know about the amazing services provided by our medical staff and client services staff.

But behind the scenes we have a small team that supports the life affirming work with careful bookkeeping, bill paying, and human resources tasks. We are seeking this vital team member to help provide careful oversight of our organization.

The Office Manager works alongside the Church Outreach Director, Donor Development Team, Board Treasurer and Finance Committee. He or she provides WCN with organizational stability and financial accountability. The Office Manager acts as a bookkeeper, a human resources support person, and servant leader to the WCN staff. The position is full-time and offers medical benefits.
