Tracey Hazlett | Director of Music Ministries

Tracey joined Covenant Community’s Music Ministry Team in 2020 as a vocalist and flute accompanist. She stepped into the Director of Music Ministries role in September 2023. She comes to the role with supporting music education in Music Therapy and 39+ years of music performance throughout her school years including college years. She has also been involved musically within the church and in community based events throughout that time. In her role, she conducts a seasonal adult/teen choir for Easter and Christmas and a cross generational orchestra for the same seasons. She works with pastoral staff to select the music to support the weekly liturgy and leads Sunday morning worship team rehearsals. As the Music Ministry  develops, Tracey is encouraging small ensembles to form so the vast array of musical talents within the congregation can be utilized throughout the full calendar year. Her approach to working with team members is to build relationships, encourage growth both musically and spiritually, and provide education and support when needed.

Tracey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and runs her own private practice in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. In her free time she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors or reading a good book. She also can be found toying with knitting/crocheting, watercolors, writing poetry and making space to hang out with friends. Email Tracey
